DrumBooth.Live is a new approach to remote drum recording, designed to feel as if we were in the same studio. You'll be in the virtual control room, where you can guide me through your song giving me feedback on every take, in real time, until the song feels just right.
When we're done, you'll be able to download the drum tracks right away. No waiting around, no endless feedback rounds, no settling for an almost-perfect take.
This isn't a video call with good audio — it's a full-fledged virtual studio desk.
The difference
Most remote drum sessions feel like a mail order. This is a real studio session.
The usual way: you send the tracks, wait, get a preview, then write notes about the performance. Every fix costs another day. In a DrumBooth.Live session, the feedback loop is instant.

Send the tracks
You send the tracks and creative instructions, I set the session up beforehand.
Connect
I send you one link, you open it in your browser, you're in the control room. No app, no account, no plugin needed. You get video feed and talkback with me, plus all the buttons to control the session.
Takes, comments, more takes
I play, you listen live, we talk between takes. Redo a section, try a different groove, swap the snare, keep two versions and decide later. Just like a studio session.
Drum tracks directly in your inbox
When everything is recorded and you're happy with the result, you click on “Download Tracks” and the files land in your inbox as a download link.

Every song is a sonic universe of its own, and the drums are an integral part of that world. Tuning, mic placement, snare and cymbal choice all start from your references and your wishes.
Everything is recorded in a studio in Berlin. The room is treated to sound dry, but still pleasantly lively.

Who you're booking
My name is Pier Ciaccio and I'm an Italian freelance drummer based in Berlin. I've been playing for more than 25 years and studied with teachers like Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Tony Inzalaco and Gary Ferguson. I've toured extensively across Europe and played hundreds of shows and recording sessions, with artists including Bergman, Danilo Timm, Wayne Snow, J. Lamotta, Los Fastidios, Ahmed Eid, Avi Schneider, TOLYQYN and many others.
I built DrumBooth.Live because, after years of recording remotely "the normal way", I felt that a huge part of what makes music great was missing: the real-time exchange of ideas and the freedom to try stuff out on the fly. The mutual inspiration that comes from this process is simply irreplaceable, and that's what I'm trying to preserve here.
Playing alone in a room is boring. I'd rather have you there!

FAQ
Can we record at the same time?
No. The network lag is minimal, but still enough to make playing together in real time impossible.
What do I need on my end?
A laptop or desktop, a web browser, a stable connection, and wired headphones. Bluetooth headphones can switch your operating system into call mode and turn on noise suppression, ruining the sound of the music. Wired is the one hard requirement.
Can I join from a phone or tablet?
The virtual control room works on a phone and on a tablet, but I'd still suggest a desktop or laptop, to get DrumBooth.Live's full range of features — some of them don't work on mobile. If that's all you have, it will still work.
Can I have more info about your setup?
The main kit is a Yamaha Stage Custom 22-12-16. I have five snares to pick from, covering a wide array of tones from tight and snappy to low and fat. Cymbals are Turkish Cymbals, UFIP, Sabian and Masterwork: hats from 13 to 15 inches, crashes and rides up to 21. Up to 20 channels of condensers, dynamics and ribbons microphones — AKG, Shure, Sennheiser, Lewitt, sE Electronics and Audix. If you want the exact models, ask and I'll send the list.
I've never worked with a drummer before, is DrumBooth.Live for me?
Yes. In many years of session drumming I've learnt the fine art of translating artistic images and everyday vocabulary into drum parts. I can't count how many times I've heard things like "this part should sound like a snake" or "this part is not purple enough" — real quotes from real sessions. I enjoy solving those riddles, and artists who don't speak drums are more than welcome.
I'm not comfortable controlling the session, can you do it?
Yes, absolutely. The controls being there doesn't mean you have to use them — I can drive the session from my end. You'd still get the visual side of the virtual control room: what we're recording, where we are in the song, how many takes we have for each section.
What sample rate do you record at?
44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz.
What if I can't make the session?
Tell me at least 48 hours ahead and we move it, no charge. You can also send the brief and let me record it unattended — same files, same rate, just without the part that makes this special.
